Mineral amendment (i.e. calcium, phosphorous, potassium and/or magnesium) is a management practice used in forestry to improve nutrient availability and recover soil fertility, especially in nutrient-poor forest ecosystems. However, whether this amendment can lead to modifications of the soil characteristics and an improvement in tree growth, and its impact on the soil bacterial communities, especially the mineral weathering bacterial communities, remains poorly documented. In this study, we investigated the short-term impact of a mineral amendment on the taxonomic and functional structure of the mineral weathering bacterial communities. To do this, a plantation of four-year old oak (Quercus petraea) trees amended with or without dolomite [CaMg(CO3)2] was established in the experimental forest site of Breuil-Chenue, which is characterized by an acidic soil and a low availability of calcium and magnesium. Three years after amendment, soil samples were used to isolate bacteria as well as to determine the soil characteristics and the metabolic potentials of these soil microbial communities. Based on a bioassay for quantifying the solubilisation of inorganic phosphorous, we demonstrate that the bacterial isolates coming from the non-amended bulk soil were significantly more efficient than those from the amended bulk soil. No difference was observed between the bacterial isolates coming from the amended and non-amended rhizospheres. Notably, the taxonomic analyses revealed a dominance of bacterial isolates belonging to the Burkholderia genus in both samples. Overall, our results suggest that the bioavailability of nutritive cations into soil impacts the distribution and the efficacy of mineral weathering bacterial communities coming from the soil but not those coming from the rhizosphere.  相似文献

Pharmacological characteristics of somatotropin pegylated using electron-beam synthesis nanotechnology (PEG-STH) were studied. Oral PEG-STH stimulated the intensity of protein and lipid metabolism and endochondral bone growth without modifying the processes of periosteal and endosteal bone formation. We have carried out a preclinical toxicological investigation (acute toxicity evaluation) of Mangascan (0.5 M solution of manganese(II) - EDTA complex) and Pentamang (0.5 M solution of manganese(II) - DTPA complex), a new paramagnetic contrast agents for MRI procedures. In 14 days after single intravenous introduction of Mangascan (10.0 ml/kg) or Pentamang (5.0 ml/kg) to rats, no any toxic influence of the studied agents was detected in the general condition, bone marrow, cardiovascular and central nervous systems, and liver and kidney functions of experimental animals. No pathological changes were observed in the functional activity and morphology of the internal organs and systems. The results showed that both Mangascan and Pentamang belong to the class of low toxicity substances.  相似文献

Beginning with the first hours of experiments, cisplatin evoked an increase of chromosomal aberrations in CBA/CaLac bone marrow cells. Significant increase of structural infringements of chromosomes due to chromatid breaks was revealed in metaphase plates of murine bone marrow preparations through 24 h after cisplatin intraperitoneal introduction. In late terms of research (90th day), the high level of aberrations of chromosomes was retained. The most pronounced correction of cisplatin mutagenicity was achieved using a preliminary course of thiophan introduction.  相似文献

Helicobacter pylori blocks the proliferation of human CD4(+) T cells, facilitated by vacuolating exotoxin (VacA) and γ-glutamyl transpeptidase (GGT). H. pylori-triggered T-cell reactions in mice correlate with bacterial cholesterol and cholesterol α-glucoside content but their role in human cells is unclear. We characterized the effect of VacA, GGT, and cholesterol on T-helper 1, T-helper 2, T-regulatory and T-helper 17 associated cytokines and T-cell proliferation. VacA, GGT, and bacterial cholesterol content exhibited differential and synergistic inhibitory effects on the expression of activation markers CD25 and CD69 and on interleukin 2, interleukin 4, interleukin 10, and interferon γ production. These factors did not affect the H. pylori-mediated abrogation of transforming growth factor β secretion or increased interleukin 6 production. Cholesterol α-glucosyltransferase-deficient bacteria exerted strongly reduced antiproliferative effects on primary human CD4(+) T cells. In conclusion, H. pylori shapes rather than suppresses human CD4(+) T-cell responses, and glucosylated cholesterol is a relevant bacterial component involved in this modulation.  相似文献

T cells were most sensitive to cyclophosphamide in DBA/2 mice, while in C57Bl/6 mice both T and B cells were sensitive. The formation of antibody-producing cells and the production of specific antibodies were delayed in DBA/2 mice immunized after pretreatment with antitumor drug. Accumulation of antibody-producing cells in the spleen was more active in immunized C57Bl/6 mice treated with cyclophosphamide compared to animals not treated with cyclophosphamide.  相似文献
