Epstein-Barr virus DNA in Reed-Sternberg cells of Hodgkin''s disease is frequently associated with CR2 (EBV receptor) expression

We studied 44 cases of Hodgkin's disease for the presence of Epstein-Barr virus (EBV) DNA, its localization and the expression of the EBV receptor on the tumour cells. EBV DNA was found in 52% (16/31) of the Hodgkin's lymphomas using the polymerase chain reaction. With a very sensitive non-radioactive DNA in situ hybridization technique in combination with immunohistochemistry for CD 30 or CD 15 antigens, EBV DNA was localized to Reed-Sternberg cells and its mononuclear variants. The relationship between the presence of EBV DNA and the expression of the EBV-receptor CR2 (CD 21) on Reed-Sternberg cells was studied using the same techniques and two different monoclonal anti-CD 21 antibodies. CR2 could be detected on a substantial number of the Reed-Sternberg cells in EBV DNA positive Hodgkin's lymphomas (9/12; 75%), whereas in EBV negative cases positivity with anti-CD 21 was rare (1/13; 8%). The results indicate that CR2 expression on Reed-Sternberg cells and the presence of EBV DNA sequences are frequently associated in Hodgkin's lymphomas.     

北京自然人群载脂蛋白E基因多态性频率分布研究

应用聚合酶链反应 限制性片段长度多态性技术 (PCR RFLP) ,以北京自然人群为基础 ,采用分层随机抽样的方法进行横断面研究 ,对 1 0 46人进行apoE基因分型 ,并分析不同特点人群apoE基因频率分布特点。结果表明 :1 )本组人群ε2、ε3、ε4基因频率分别为 9.1 %、81 .2 %和 9.7% ,男女和各年龄组间基因频率无显著差异 ;2 )与欧美国家相比 ,本组人群ε2基因频率增高 ,ε4频率减低 ,与日本人群相比也有相同趋势 ;3 )在空腹血糖受损及糖尿病人群中ε2频率明显增高 ;4)在高胆固醇血症人群中ε2频率减低、ε4基因频率增高     

西宁地区冠心病113例临床分析

本文通过西宁地区１１３例住院冠心病人的临床分析，认为西宁地区冠心病患病率低，患者年龄大，男性患病率高于女性，而且绝经期后的高龄女性患者患病率仍然远比男性低，这些与低海拔地区不同。而冠心病各型的分布、临床症状、病死率等与低海拔地区相似。     

Repetitive firing properties in subpopulations of the chick Edinger Westphal nucleus.

The avian Edinger Westphal nucleus, through the ciliary ganglion, controls accommodation, iris constriction, and blood flow through the choroid. In live brainstem slices, the nucleus is easily identifiable as an olive-shaped cluster of neurons dorsal to the oculomotor nerve and nucleus. Intracellular recordings from neurons in the nucleus identified two classes of responses to sustained (300 to 500 ms) injections of depolarizing current. One set of cells fired action potentials for the duration of the pulse while a second set of cells fired action potentials only transiently, during the first 50 to 100 ms, after which they remained silent regardless of the size of the depolarization. Intracellular recordings followed by injections of the fluorescent dye lucifer yellow revealed that repetitively firing cells were located in the lateral half of the nucleus while non-repetitively or transiently firing cells were located in the medial half. These locations correspond to different Edinger Westphal subdivisions which have distinct inputs and target populations. The varying firing patterns are discussed with reference to the known functions of the subdivisions in which they occur. Replacement of calcium by magnesium in the extracellular medium had no effect on the number of action potentials fired by non-repetitively firing cells, suggesting that a calcium-activated potassium current is not responsible for suppressing repetitive firing in these cells. In contrast, in repetitively firing cells removal of extracellular calcium increased the frequency of action potential discharge and decreased the amplitude of afterhyperpolarizations following single action potentials. Addition of cadmium to the bath medium had similar effects.(ABSTRACT TRUNCATED AT 250 WORDS)     

HPLC测定家兔血浆中尼群地平及其药代动力学参数

本工作建立了测定家兔血浆中尼群地平的高效液相色谱法(HPLC)。方法采用YWGC_18(150×4.6mm,I.D.)柱,以甲醇:水(70:30,v/v)为流动相,UV236mm检测,兔血浆先经环己烷-异丙醇(96.5:3.5V/V)提取。本法准确、灵敏、简便。应用本法测得尼群地平在家兔体内药代动力学主要参数为:A=O.903μg/ml,α=4.873h~1,B=0.244μg/ml,β=0.396h~(-1),CL=2.8291/h。     

紫外分光光度法测定SOD活性的应用及其意义

本文对SOD的紫外分光光度法测定进行了实用性研究。结果表明,本文方法具有用血量少,重现性好,快速、灵敏,试剂廉价等优点。西宁地区与平原地区人群的比较测定显示,前者SOD活性明显高于后者(P<0.01)。     

青海玉树健康人甲状腺激素测定

本文对玉树(海拔3700米)正常人58例的甲状腺激素用放射免疫法进行了测定,与西宁地区和平原地区对比,结果说明玉树地区T3、T4值明显或显著低于西宁和平原地区。TSH值又明显或显著高于西宁和平原地区、西宁地区P3、T4和TSH值均明显或显著低于平原。玉树地区藏、汉之间;男、女之间也有一定差异。这可能是高原低气压,缺氧对肝脏代谢的影响,调节甲状腺激素,以求机体对高原坏境的适应。     

下蹲运动与高眼压关系及其动态观察

观察１８例３２眼下蹲运动与高眼压的关系，分为下蹲１２０次，１００次及８０次三且，每组分别观察１０眼、１１眼及１１眼，结果各组运动后眼压均见下降，平均为１．０２７±０．４８６ｋＰａ，１．３５５±０．７７０ｋＰａ及１．３２５±０．４２２ｋＰａ，运动前后有非常显著性差异，但各组之间差异不显著。同时观察３小时内眼压动态变化，下蹲１２０次组眼压下降维持时间最长，在运动后３小时与运动前眼压比较及与其余两组第３     

High frequency jet ventilation for microlaryngeal laser surgery

The use of a triple lumen central venous catheter, which can be shielded from laser irradiation by metal tape, as a conduit for high frequency jet ventilation in six children, is described. The problems of anaesthesia for laryngeal laser surgery and the advantages of the technique described in this paper are discussed.
