目的探讨生源情况对硕士研究生的培养质量的影响,为硕士研究生的招生及培养提供参考依据。方法对中山大学中山眼科中心1997年以来培养的硕士研究生有关情况进行整理,并运用SPSS11.0 for window统计软件包对数据进行统计学分析。结果硕士研究生培养质量受毕业学校、入学前工作时间、年龄等因素影响。临床专业知识和技能、科学研究能力不受硕士研究生的生源情况影响。结论培养单位所做的工作将直接影响硕士研究生的临床能力和科研能力,因此应该加强学科、临床条件、科研条件等方面的建设,为硕士研究生提供培养的基础平台。  相似文献

BACKGROUND: Traditional campus-based models of education are unsuitable to many, particularly if in full-time employment supporting families, whereas the Internet now permits new models of education. Following an iterative process of development and evaluation in 2001, the University of Bristol launched a masters programme covering reproduction and development delivered principally over the Internet. METHODS: Students attend short biannual residential workshops and the rest of the course is delivered online. In 2003, the 20 active students were invited to complete a structured online questionnaire. RESULTS: The 18 students completing the questionnaire identified distance learning as the key factor in their course selection. Most students felt that residential workshops aided subsequent electronic communication. Discussion of ideas is an essential component of postgraduate courses and web-based discussion forums appeared to provide an acceptable medium for this. The use of web-based audio lectures and computer-assisted assessments was well received. Also these systems may reduce disadvantages overseas students encounter when completing assessments in their non-native language. CONCLUSIONS: The overall positive response from students (and their tutors) to using the Internet for multiprofessional reproductive medicine education is encouraging and has wider potential in the future.  相似文献

PURPOSE: The selection process for residency positions is sometimes seen as being "opaque" and unfair by students, and can be a significant source of student stress. Yet efforts to clarify the process may not have helped reduce student stress for a number of reasons. This paper examines the nature of the knowledge that students possess and describes the implications for future efforts at addressing this knowledge. METHODS: The current study assessed the perceptions of three groups (selection committee members, faculty advisors, and students) at a single institution using two evaluation methods (ranking of a context-free list of variables, and an assessment of the legitimacy of 20 "common language" opinion statements comparing the variables). RESULTS: For the context-free ranking of variables, ICC's were moderately high for all three groups (0.479-0.584) and the disattenuated correlations were very high (0.872 to 0.946). By contrast, when more contextually relevant opinion statements were evaluated, the ICC's were much more variable (less than 0 to 0.279), the correlations (where calculable) were lower (0.449 to 0.547), and inconsistencies of opinion regarding particular variables became apparent. CONCLUSIONS: To properly understand the true nature of the opinions that are being held by the various groups it is necessary to use statements that reflect the vernacular of the "rumour mills" that are the common source of student information.  相似文献

Recent Australian Government policy reflects the integral nature of active consumer participation to the planning and delivery of mental health services. The effectiveness of consumer participation in improving mental health services has received some attention in the literature. Commonwealth Government funding enabled the development of a partnership between the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing Research and Practice and the Melbourne Consumer Consultants' Group. The successful application enabled the employment of a mental health consumer as an academic staff member of the Centre for Psychiatric Nursing Research and Practice. One important aspect of this role involved the mental health consumer teaching a consumer perspective to postgraduate psychiatric nursing students. The primary aim was to increase the students' awareness of and sensitivity to greater consumer participation within the mental health arena. This paper presents the results of an evaluation of the consumer academic role in teaching within the Postgraduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Nursing (Psychiatric Nursing). An evaluation form was distributed to students (n = 21) on completion of the semester. The findings suggest the experience was considered beneficial to students and was impacting significantly on their current practice. This project supports the value of consumer participation in the education of mental health professionals.  相似文献

目的了解研究生论文的发表时滞,以指导研究生的论文管理.方法选取《医学研究生学报》2005-2006年见刊的研究生论文293篇,按照论文种类的不同分为论著类229篇,综述类45篇;293篇中基金论文184篇,非基金论文109篇.分别计算其各阶段的时滞数据.结果293篇论文的总体见刊时滞为(234.7±116.9)d,其中审稿周期为(57.0±36.8)d,编辑周期为(109.4±96.4)d,待刊周期为(68.3±59.3)d.论著类的见刊时滞为(224.2±7.4)d,明显小于综述类的(272.9±19.3)d,P<0.05;基金论文的见刊时滞为(211.9±7.6)d,明显小于非基金论文的(273.3±12.4)d,P<0.01.结论研究生论文普遍周期过长,尤其是综述类论文和(或)非基金论文;研究生作者应根据论文种类的不同把握投稿时间.  相似文献

The policy of the European co-operation in the new atmosphere of an international solidarity became one of the priorities of the European Federation of Neurological Societies (EFNS). It could be hardly pursued more efficiently in any other field of neurological performance as in education. To review several aspects of neurological practice and education the 'First European Co-operation Neurology Workshop' was held in the castle of Trest', Czech Republic, 13-20 April 2000. Participants from 15 countries (Albania, Belarus, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czech Republic, Estonia, Georgia, Hungary, Moldova, Poland, Romania, Russia, Slovak Republic and Slovenia), covering a region of 316 million inhabitants and 25 000 neurologists, presented their national postgraduate education systems (besides other topics). We refer data on density of medical doctors and that of neurologists, pre-board certification phase, board examination, continuing medical education (CME), and qualification rewards. Illustrative data were put in the comparative tables. This first meeting has founded the basis for a dynamic future collaboration in order to continue the integration process and an exchange of current information regarding CME amongst central and eastern countries as well as western Europe.  相似文献
