The ‘space’ of friendship: young children's understandings and expressions of friendship in a reception class

The purpose of this study has been to explore young children's understandings and experiences of friendship as these manifested in children's behaviours, in a reception class setting. Drawing on an evolutionary, ecological framework, friendship is seen as not only the expression and further development of social understandings and cognitive advances; more than that, making and maintaining friends is seen as an evolutionary trait and a ‘drive’ to relate to similarly minded others. Through ‘niche picking’, children select the environments and opportunities that suit them in order to develop their dispositions and individual traits. The research employed a participatory design in order to capture the children's views and experiences. It took place in a reception class setting, where children's everyday experiences were observed and discussed with them. The study identified six themes of analysis and offered some suggestions about creating enabling educational environments that allow the ‘space’ for niche construction.     

医改尚未成功,路在何方?

目前我国医疗制度改革尚未取得成功,这与计划经济向市场经济转轨这历史时期及卫生工作的特殊性有关,出现问题,甚至失误,在所难免。提出(1)医改的目的是确保全国人民健康,人人享有医疗保健。(2)把卫生系统推向市场,医疗机构商业化,不是医改的方向。(3)预防为主,健全预防医学制系。(4)国家增加投入。(5)制定公立及私立医院各项制度,保护医务人员的合法权益。(6)加强社区基层医疗机构的建设。     

对高等教育大众化背景下中医药高等院校专业建设问题的思考

中医药高等院校专业建设应随着社会的进步发展和社会的需求而不断拓宽、延伸其专业领域，本文从中医药高校的专业延伸的必要性、建设原则以及专业延伸的思路等三个方面对中医药高等院校的专业建设工作提出了几点思考。

中医儿科是河南省重点学科,加强学科管理,健全各项管理规章制度,科学合理设置儿科课程,实现理论与实践的结合,课堂与临床见习的结合;提高教师人文素质、教学水平,是保证儿科教学质量的关键.     

Some practical perspectives for educating gifted children

This article identifies common characteristics of educationally related programs that form a common basis for understanding and working with gifted programs. Special approaches and programs for educational enrichment as well as specific activities that have been successful are discussed.     

膜表达热休克蛋白70真核表达载体的构建及其对肿瘤细胞的转染

目的构建普遍适合性的膜表达热休克蛋白70(HSP70)的真核表达载体,修饰并建立HSP 70表达并结合在细胞膜表面的肿瘤细胞.方法RT-PCR法从人胚肾中获取HSP 70的cDNA,扩增成带酶切位点的目的基因.选择载体pDisplay,将目的基因插入载体多克隆酶位点中.DNA测序证实后,以脂质体转染的方法,将载体转染到黑色素瘤细胞.用G418抗性筛选获得阳性克隆.结果酶切电泳和DNA测序证实载体构建正确;目的基因的上游带信号肽序列,下游带跨膜序列.RT-PCR产物电泳、Westem Blotting、激光共聚焦显微镜和流式细胞术证实大量HSP 70表达并结合在转染的黑色素瘤细胞膜表面.结论成功地构建了膜表达HSP 70的真核表达载体;转染到黑色素瘤细胞后,细胞膜表面表达丰富的HSP70.转染细胞可以进一步制备新型瘤苗.     

Semantic category and initial letter word fluency in left-brain-damaged patients

Fluency deficits have been found in different neuropsychological populations, and dissociation of letter initial and category fluency has been demonstrated in right-brain-damaged and Alzheimer patients. Studies on normal controls also indicate that letter initial and category fluency are supported by different brain regions. We studied letter initial and category fluency in 79 left-brain-damaged patients, 18 non-aphasic and 61 aphasic. Our results indicate that brain-damaged patients are significantly impaired in both fluency tasks compared to normal controls, and a difference between letter initial and category fluency emerges from our data. Firstly, only letter initial fluency is more impaired in aphasic than in non-aphasic patients; secondly, many aphasics have normal category fluency and pathological letter initial fluency but the reverse is seldom true and thirdly, only category fluency scores correlate with confrontation-naming scores. It is suggested that strategies to recover words based on a semantic or a phonological prompt are different. A semantic strategy is coherent with the organizational structure of the semantic system and corresponds to the normal way in which we recover words whereas a phonological strategy is quite unusual and it is not used for actual communication.
