| 摘 要： | The sequelae of poliomyelitis belonging to“flaccidity syndrome”(瘘症)in traditionalChinese medicine(TCM)are a common afflictionthat seriously affect the mental and physicalhealth of children and youth.Clinically the af-fected limbs are flaccid,muscles are weak orhave no strength at all.There are atrophy,paralysis and deformity of the extremities.Clinical cure is rare due to long course andseverity of the disease.The TCM treatmentusually used today with some effects is acupunc.
