| Abstract: | Gastric biopsies from 175 cases of chronic atrophic gastritis in the pylorus region were observed by transmission electron microscopy. The decreasing of barrier function of mucous membrane, the edema cell spaces, the helicobacteria pylorus destruction resulting in the change of mucous membrane and glandular epithelial cells, and double differentiated cell in the region of intestinal metaplasia were found. The results suport further that chronic atrophic gastritis is an important origin of carcinoma in the morphology. |
