磷脂酰胆碱抗氧化效应及对遗传损伤的保护作用

磷脂酰胆碱５００ｍｇ／ｋｇ灌胃２０日可使Ｏ_３环境中的小鼠超氧化物歧化酶（ＳＯＤ）活性显著增强，血浆丙二醛（ＭＤＡ）含量及外周血正染红细胞（ＮＣＥ）微核率明显下降。结果提示：磷脂酰胆碱具有抗氧化作用及拮抗自由基造成遗传的损伤。进一步证实了自由基在微核形成中具有重要意义。     

Translocation X;10 in a case of congenital acute monocytic leukemia

Unusual cytogenetic findings were noted in the leukemic cells from a patient with congenital acute monocytic leukemia (AMol or M5, according to the FAB classification), whereas, the chromosomes of cultured skin fibroblasts were normal. G-banded karyotypes of leukemic cells showed an X-autosome translocation, 46,X,t(X;10)(Xpter----q13::10q11.2----qter)(10pter---- q11.2::Xq28----q13:: Xq28----qter). Review of reported cases of acute nonlymphocytic leukemia (ANLL) with rearrangements involving chromosomes #10 or X showed a high frequency of abnormalities of the short arm of #10 in myelomonocytic (M4) and monocytic (M5) leukemias, particularly in patients less than 2-yr-of-age. Although previously reported cases of ANLL in infants are predominantly of these types, the translocation observed in this case is unique. Fragile sites known to exist on chromosomes #10 and X are not associated with neoplasia and, except for Xq27-28, were not at the breakpoints of the case presented. The precise location of a human cellular oncogene recently identified on the X chromosome remains unknown.     

Bulimia in male patients

Bulimia is not exclusively a disorder of women. Twelve men with bulimia were evaluated and found to have demographic variables and eating behaviors similar to those of female bulimia patients. Eleven of the 12 men were binge eating more than once a day, and ten of the 12 also self-induced vomiting on a regular basis. Three patients had initiated bulimic behavior in association with athletic training. Eight patients followed through with treatment referrals and responded favorably to therapy.     

A histopathologic study of gastric and small intestinal graft-versus-host disease following allogeneic bone marrow transplantation

Twenty-two stomach and 14 small intestinal biopsy specimens from 24 allogeneic bone marrow transplant recipients were reviewed to evaluate the histopathologic changes of graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) in these organs. Associations between these results and clinical symptoms and other biopsy results were sought. In both organs, single epithelial cell necrosis was found to correlate with GVHD. Gastric GVHD was diagnosed in eight patients and small intestinal GVHD in four. Gastric GVHD was characterized by nausea, vomiting, and upper abdominal pain without diarrhea (the latter being present in only two patients), while all four of the patients with small intestinal GVHD had upper gastrointestinal symptoms and diarrhea. These symptoms correlated with concurrent rectal biopsy findings; pathologic alterations were seen in only one of six specimens from patients with gastric GVHD but in three of four with small intestinal GVHD. These findings suggest that stomach biopsy may be necessary to diagnose GVHD in patients with upper gastrointestinal symptoms but no diarrhea and normal rectal biopsy specimens. Diagnostic problems may arise in the early posttransplantation period, when the effects of cytoreductive therapy may simulate GVHD, and in patients with gastrointestinal cytomegalovirus infection, which may also produce changes identical to those of GVHD.
