The purpose of the present paper is to show the interactive design process for the ubiquitous middleware platform on the Personal
Area Network (PAN). The middleware platform is composed of a distributed system that supports sensors and actuators on PAN.
Generally, in the case of middleware for ubiquitous computing, the structure is formulated by a simple design pattern in a
shared program language. On the other hand, new media art or commercial game contents have specified methodologies such as
extreme programming for these developments, and so it is difficult to share information among these products. In the present
paper, we propose a new design process for the ubiquitous environment on the PAN to adapt different software methodologies
and construct an interactive product of new media art using the proposed method. The design process consists of the artist’s
proposal for media artwork, the engineer’s analysis, simulation, and testing. Each cycle is considered as an individual project,
and interactive products such as middleware services are provided to the artist after the project is finished. We implemented
interactive audio-visual prototype by the design process. 相似文献

ObjectivesIn 2018, our clinical laboratory was alerted to back-to-back plasma sodium critical value callback failures on the same patient, occurring on different shifts and involving different technologists. Therefore, we set forth to investigate the root cause for the critical value callback failures.Design and methodsWe conducted a thorough investigation focused on the processes associated with critical value identification and notification for plasma sodium measurement performed on the Siemens Vista.ResultsOur investigation uncovered a flaw in the Siemens CentraLink middleware software. A default dark blue bar in the top row of the results review display was determined to obscure the red color which highlights critical values for lab staff identification. Sodium was disproportionately impacted by this flaw, as it is commonly ordered as part of metabolic panels, and is listed first among the panel analytes in the top row of the CentraLink display. Retrospective data review comparing critical callback failure rates for sodium to potassium and hemoglobin confirmed that sodium had significantly higher critical callback failure rates than these other analytes. After alerting the product manufacturer, Siemens programmed the CentraLink display so that the top row was blank and devoid of patient results, so that the blue color in the top row would no longer obscure the red visual cue of a patient’s critical result. Sodium critical value callback failures were reduced to 0% after this middleware display correction.ConclusionsMiddleware design flaws can have unexpected consequences on clinical laboratory operations. We encourage clinical laboratories to closely examine user interfaces utilized by laboratory staff, and be wary of potential impacts that the display format may have on results reporting. 相似文献

RFID系统在医疗行业应用日益广泛,提出了一种RFID中间件系统的设计,系统由设备管理代理和事件过程管理器组成。事件过程管理器采用一种依赖时序的、基于Petri网的RFID复杂事件检测方法和基于订阅/发布的服务机制。另外,中间件系统能屏蔽低端各种RFID物理设备的多样性,为企业级应用提供动态灵活部署框架。通过基于该中间件技术的医疗垃圾管理系统的成功应用,验证了该中间件系统的设计,也明显改善医疗垃圾处理环节的监控和管理力度,提升了医院的信息化水平。 相似文献

目的:本文通过深入分析医院信息系统建设的特点和医疗数据集成的需求,结合医疗数据的异构多源、庞大复杂、动态增长等特点,旨在解决医院各个系统之间的信息互通,实现医院内部系统之间的数据共享。方法:该集成平台以XML技术为基础,采用XML Schema技术来描述集成平台的公共数据模型;利用统一查询语言XQuery进行全局和局部医疗数据查询。结果:提出了一种以HL7标准为基础的基于中间件技术的医疗数据集成平台架构。结论:该平台利用中间件屏蔽底层医疗数据的异构性,最终实现用户对全院医疗数据的全局查询和透明访问。 相似文献
