The influence of modified electrocomulsive therapy on serum interleukin—6 in schizophrenic patients

AIM：To explore the influence of modified electroconvulsive therapy on serum interleukin-6 in schizophrenic patients.METHOD:Testing change of serum IL-6 in 60 cases treated with MECT and 60 control cases treated with clozapine therapy by ELISA method. RESULTS:Serum IL-6 level before treatment of both groups was positive related to SAPS; serum IL-6 level wasn′t related to BPRS total score, factor score and SANS total fractions. IL-6 level of clozapine therapy group decrease apparently after treatment, and IL-6 level was apparently positive related to anxious depressed factor of BPRS; but there was no apparent difference in IL-6 level of MECT group between before and after treatment.CONCLUSION:To schizophrenic patients, clozapine can take effects of immune inhibit through inhibiting serum IL-6; MECT may have different mechanism.     

The experimental studies of Heliox decreasing airway resistance and improving pulmonary effective ventilation

AIM：The study evaluated the effects of breathing helium-oxygen (79% heliox and 21% oxygen) on respiratory insufficiency by way of experimental and clinical observations. METHODS:Six mongrel dogs were randomly inspired air or heiox after dripping 2% methacholine in tracheas controlled by 900C ventilator.During the experimental course, respiratory mechanical limits, hemodynamic index and blood gas values were observed. Six ventilated patients with COPD in the respiratory intensive care unit inspired heliox, and the data of respiratory mechanics were recorded. RESULTS:The results demonstrate that heliox can reduced airway resistance, airway pressure,and work of breathing, improve lung effective compliance,but heliox has no side effects on pulmonary circulation and systemic circulation. Heliox improves oxygen diffusion and CO2 climinating. CONCLUSION:Breathing heliox is one of the effective ways for patients with severe obstructive pulmonary diseases.

显微外科技术在尿道下裂修复中的应用

采用显微外科技术行阴囊纵膈皮瓣尿道下裂修复术18例，均获成功。其手术要点为：将阴茎腹侧纤维索条切除，充分伸展阴茎，皮瓣保留足够长度与宽度，克保血运；在显微镜下采用7－0尼龙丝线缝合，形成皮管，不缝皮肤，只缝皮下。硅胶管支架引流，加压包扎阴茎。本文对手术成功的原因进行了初步讨论。     

皮纹与智力相关关系的多因素分析

本文用多因素分析方法，对智商分布于25－121之间的939人的24项指，掌纹性状，结合智商进行相关分析，用逐步回归方法，建立多元线性回归方程，该方程有较好地区分高，中低智力组的区分率（96．49％），回代符合率也远高于理论值，达81．26％，通过该方程所测得皮纹智商与生理智商一致，二者无显著差异，该方程能较好地反映一个人在智力上的遗传素质，并具有简单，方便，易学制，不爱主管观条件影响，测试结果稳定等优点，是便于在广大基层普及推广的一种智力测试方法，对提高我国人口素质具有积极的实用意义。     

短暂性脑缺血发作的自然史：—88例病人1—7年的随访

本文对88例短暂性脑缺血发作进行了1－7年的随访，运用寿命表方法分析了累积生存率，累积显效率和累积梗塞率，与国内外文献中其他3组比较，发现这4组死亡率的差异可用各组随访时间长短不同解释。本组病人未予特异治疗，但实际的梗塞发生率并不显著高于进行正规抗血小板治疗的美－加协作研究组。
