Chromostereopsis is an illusion of depth arising from colour contrast: ocular chromatic aberrations usually make red appear closer to the viewer than blue. Whereas this phenomenon is widely documented from the optical and psychophysical point of view, its neural correlates have not been investigated. To determine the cortical processing of this colour-based depth effect, visual evoked potentials (VEPs) to contrasts of colour were recorded in 25 subjects. Chromostereopsis was found with the stimuli combining spectra extremes. VEP amplitude but not latency effects were observed to colour depth cues, suggesting an underlying, depth-specific slow negative wave, located using source modelling first in occipito-parietal, parietal, then temporal areas. The component was larger over the right hemisphere consistent with RH dominance in depth processing, likely due to context-dependent top-down modulation. These results demonstrate that the depth illusion obtained from contrast of colour implicates similar cortical areas as classic binocular depth perception. 相似文献

目的了解郴州市城区生活饮用水水质,针对存在的问题提出改进建议。方法选取有代表性的城区二次供水、末梢水、出厂水和水源水进行监测,采用国家标准进行评价。结果所监测的二次供水、末梢水、出厂水和水源水的合格率分别为86.3%、84.9%、97.4%和100.0%。不合格的指标分别有游离性余氯、浑浊度、总大肠菌群和细菌总数。结论.郴州市城区生活饮用水水质基本符合国家标准,针对存在的问题,有关部门应加强管理。 相似文献

The ability to detect and correct errors is critical to adaptive control of behaviour and represents a discrete neuropsychological function. A number of studies have highlighted that attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) is associated with abnormalities in behavioural and neural responsiveness to performance errors. One limitation of previous work has been a failure to determine the extent to which these differences are attributable to failures of conscious error awareness, a process that is dependent on the integrity of the frontal lobes. Recent advances in electrophysiological research make it possible to distinguish unconscious and conscious aspects of error processing. This study constitutes an extensive electrophysiological investigation of error awareness and error processing in ADHD. A Go/No-Go response inhibition task specifically designed to assess error awareness was administered to a group of adults diagnosed with ADHD and a group of matched control participants. The ADHD group made significantly more errors than the control group but was less likely to consciously detect these errors. An analysis of event-related potentials elicited by errors indicated that an early performance monitoring component (early positivity) was significantly attenuated in the ADHD group as was a later component that specifically reflects conscious error processing (Pe). Dipole source modelling suggested that abnormal Pe amplitudes were attributable to decreased activation of the anterior cingulate cortex. Decreased electrodermal activity in the ADHD group also suggested a motivational insensitivity to performance errors. Our data provide evidence that neuropsychological deficits associated with ADHD can be exacerbated by error processing abnormalities. ObjectiveTo investigate the difference in the spatial distribution of scalp initial ictal discharge (IID) patterns in mesial temporal lobe epilepsy with hippocampal sclerosis (HS–MTLE).MethodsScalp ictal EEG data in 22 seizure-free patients after temporal lobectomy with amygdalo-hippocampectomy were classified as follows: a regular 5–9 Hz rhythm with a restricted temporal/subtemporal distribution (type 1, 11 patients), or an irregular 2–5 Hz rhythm with a widespread fronto-temporal distribution (type 2, 11 patients). EEG data were fragmented into segments of 1.28 s, both at ictal onset and at baseline. The LORETA solution of three frequency bands was compared between ictal and baseline using statistical non-parametric mapping (p < 0.01).ResultsThe LORETA solution of 5–9 Hz in type 2 had wider cortical activity in the ipsilateral fronto-temporal area, compared to type 1 with activation of the ipsilateral focal mesial and lateral temporal regions. The LORETA solution of 10–13 Hz in both types showed increased activity in the fronto-temporal area, which was wider in type 2 than type 1. Increased cortical activity of <5 Hz was not observed in type 1, whereas increased cortical activity was observed in the bilateral anterior frontal area in type 2.ConclusionsThe cortical source distribution in HS–MTLE may depend on scalp IID frequency. The neural generators of 5–13 Hz may be important for the formation of the ictal onset zone in both ictal patterns.SignificanceSpatial distributions in HS–MTLE patients differ with scalp IID frequency. 相似文献
