Deficits in the capacity to engage in social interactions are a core deficit associated with Autistic Disorder (AD) and Pervasive Developmental Disorder-Not Otherwise Specified (PDD-NOS). These deficits emerge at a young age, making screening for social interaction deficits and interventions targeted at improving capacity in this area important for early identification and intervention. Screening and early intervention efforts are particularly important given the poor short and long term outcomes for children with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASDs) who experience social interaction deficits. The Screen for Social Interaction (SSI) is a well-validated screening measure that examines a child's capacity for social interaction using a developmental approach. The present study identified four underlying factors measured by the SSI, namely, Connection with Caregiver, Interaction/Imagination, Social Approach/Interest, and Agreeable Nature. The resulting factors were utilized to compare social interaction profiles across groups of children with AD, PDD-NOS, children with non-ASD developmental and/or psychiatric conditions and typically developing children. The results indicate that children with AD and those with PDD-NOS had similar social interaction profiles, but were able to be distinguished from typically developing children on every factor and were able to be distinguished from children with non-ASD psychiatric conditions on every factor except the Connection with Caregiver factor. In addition, children with non-ASD developmental and/or psychiatric conditions could be distinguished from typically developing children on the Connection with Caregiver factor and the Social Approach/Interest factor. These findings have implications for screening and intervention for children with ASDs and non-ASD psychiatric conditions.  相似文献

Several learning approaches have been used to predict RNA-binding amino acids in a protein sequence, but there has been little attempt to predict protein-binding nucleotides in an RNA sequence. One of the reasons is that the differences between nucleotides in their interaction propensity are much smaller than those between amino acids. Another reason is that RNA exhibits less diverse sequence patterns than protein. Therefore, predicting protein-binding RNA nucleotides is much harder than predicting RNA-binding amino acids. We developed a new method that removes data redundancy in a training set of sequences based on their features. The new method constructs a larger and more informative training set than the standard redundancy removal method based on sequence similarity, and the constructed dataset is guaranteed to be redundancy-free. We computed the interaction propensity (IP) of nucleotide triplets by applying a new definition of IP to an extensive dataset of protein-RNA complexes, and developed a support vector machine (SVM) model to predict protein binding sites in RNA sequences. In a 5-fold cross-validation with 812 RNA sequences, the SVM model predicted protein-binding nucleotides with an accuracy of 86.4%, an F-measure of 84.8%, and a Matthews correlation coefficient of 0.66. With an independent dataset of 56 RNA sequences that were not used in training, the resulting accuracy was 68.1% with an F-measure of 71.7% and a Matthews correlation coefficient of 0.35. To the best of our knowledge, this is the first attempt to predict protein-binding RNA nucleotides in a given RNA sequence from the sequence data alone. This preliminary study presents the results of a process of validation of a new questionnaire on the type of interaction in the game (QTIJV), composed of 26 items. This instrument focuses on two types of interaction: emotional and sensory-motor-narrative. It aims to distinguish use “normal” use “problem” video game. To this end, 313 adolescents aged 11 to 18 years, were surveyed in schools in the Île-de-France and Amiens. The results show good psychometric qualities of the tool (factor structure, internal consistency, Bravais Pearson correlation coefficient and concordance test/retest sensitivity, internal validity and reliability) with a confirmatory factor analysis proposing a new theoretical model of adjustment seven factors.  相似文献

BackgroundCognitive function and physical frailty are known to be closely related. Among older adults with dementia, those who wear dentures have a higher mortality rate than those who do not wear them. This suggests the possibility that oral health may affect the cognitive-frailty relationship. This study aims to investigate whether the number of teeth present, acts as a moderating variable in the cognitive function-frailty relationship.MethodsData were obtained from the cross-sectional baseline study of the Korean Frailty Aging Cohort Study (2016–2017). Cognitive function was assessed using the Mini-Mental State Examination. Frailty score was based on the Cardiovascular Health Study Index. Oral condition was evaluated by the number of teeth present and analyzed using categories of 0-9 teeth, 10-19 teeth, and ≥20. The moderation effect was analyzed using the ordinary least squares (OLS) regression.ResultsData on 2,310 older adults (1,110 men; mean age 75.9 ± 3.9 years) was analyzed. Adjusting for age, sex, income, education, alcohol drinking, body mass index, and number of comorbidities, cognitive function and frailty showed a negative association (B=-.030, p = .011). In the 10-19 teeth category, compared to the 0-9 teeth category, a negative association with frailty was found (B=-.152, p = .026). A significant interaction effect between the number of teeth and cognitive function was detected (p = .007).ConclusionThe number of teeth may modify the degree of the association between cognitive function and frailty. For effective frailty management of older persons, cognitive function management and oral management should be considered and performed together.  相似文献

BACKGROUND: There is controversy over whether exposure to stress precipitates relapse and/or increases alcohol (ethanol) intake. Our laboratory has demonstrated that repeated stress prior to withdrawal from a brief forced exposure to alcohol results in withdrawal-induced anxiety-like behavior. Because anxiety is often regarded as a precipitating factor in relapsing alcoholics, we decided to examine the consequences of stressing alcohol-preferring P rats on both voluntary alcohol drinking and withdrawal-induced anxiety. METHODS: P rats were subjected to 3 cycles of 5 days of voluntary alcohol drinking and 2 days of deprivation. Restraint stress (60 min) was applied to some animals during the first and second deprivations/withdrawals (at 4 h). Drugs (flumazenil, buspirone, SB242,084, CP154,526, CRA1000, naloxone, haloperidol, olanzapine, naloxone, and haloperidol) were given to some rats 30 min prior to restraint stress. RESULTS: Stressed, deprived P rats exhibited both a longer duration of elevated alcohol drinking and anxiety-like behavior in the social interaction test upon withdrawal after the third cycle of voluntary alcohol drinking. When given prior to each of the restraint stresses, the benzodiazepine receptor antagonist flumazenil (5 mg/kg), the corticotrophin releasing factor receptor antagonists CRA1000 (3 mg/kg) and CP154,526 (10 mg/kg), the serotonin 5-HT(1A) receptor partial agonist buspirone (0.6 mg/kg), and the mixed 5-HT(2C)/D2 receptor antagonist olanzapine were effective in reducing the increased duration of elevated alcohol drinking and the withdrawal-induced anxiety-like behavior. In contrast, while the opiate receptor antagonist naloxone (20 mg/kg), the 5-HT(2C) receptor antagonist SB242084 (3 mg/kg), and the dopamine receptor antagonist haloperidol (0.1 mg/kg) also reduced drinking, they did not significantly alter anxiety like behavior. CONCLUSION: These results suggest that stress-induced facilitation of alcohol drinking and withdrawal-induced anxiety-like behavior in P rats may be closely but imperfectly linked.  相似文献

目的 研究产前保健利用指标(初次产检孕周、产前检查次数)与产妇文化程度对低出生体重(LBW)风险的交互作用。方法 利用昆山市2001-2009年“围产保健监测系统”的数据,将孕妇按文化程度分层(初中及以下、高中和大专及以上),对产前保健利用指标按正常体重儿组四分位法进行重新赋值,拟合logistic回归模型,以最低四分位作为参照,估计其他3个水平LBW 的 OR 值及 95%CI,通过引入乘积项,评估产前保健利用指标和产妇文化程度对 LBW 发生风险。结果 孕妇文化程度不论分层前还是分层后,随着产前检查次数增多,新生儿LBW的风险先降后升,呈“U”形曲线趋势。与参比组相比,其中产前检查次数第三分位对LBW发生的OR值及95%CI 分别为不分层组:0.48(0.35~0.64)、初中及以下组:0.55(0.32~0.95)、高中组:0.50(0.32~0.80)、大专及以上组:0.36(0.20~0.66),随着文化程度的提高 OR 值明显降低,产前检查次数和产妇文化程度对LBW风险有明显的交互作用(χ2=4.650 2,P=0.031 1)。未发现初次产检孕周与文化程度对LBW发生风险有交互作用(χ2=0.929 7,P=0.334 9)。结论 产前检查次数与产妇文化程度对LBW发生具有协同保护作用。需要加强低文化群体的产前保健。  相似文献

目的探讨活性氧(ROS)与丝裂原激活蛋白激酶(MAPK)通路的相互作用在高糖损伤H9c2心肌细胞中的作用。方法应用细胞计数盒(CCK-8)检测细胞存活率;Hoechst 33258核染色检测凋亡细胞形态及数量的改变;双氯荧光素(DCFH-DA)染色荧光显微镜照相检测细胞内ROS水平;Western blot测定蛋白质表达水平。结果高糖(35 mmol/L葡萄糖)处理H9c2心肌细胞24 h可引起明显的损伤,表现为细胞存活率下降,凋亡细胞数量及ROS水平明显升高。另方面,高糖可明显地上调磷酸化(p)p38MAPK、细胞外信号调节蛋白激酶1/2(ERK1/2)及c-Jun N端激酶(JNK)(为MAPK家族的3个成员)的表达水平。N-乙酰半胱氨酸(NAC,为ROS清除剂)能抑制高糖引起的心肌细胞毒性和细胞凋亡,也能阻断高糖对p-p38MAPK、p-ERK1/2及p-JNK表达的上调作用。此外,p38MAPK、ERK1/2和JNK的选择性抑制剂均能抑制高糖引起的心肌损伤,并能抑制ROS生成增多。结论在高糖损伤H9c2心肌细胞中,存在ROS与MAPK通路的正相互作用,这种相互作用可能在高糖引起的心肌细胞损伤中起着重要的作用。  相似文献
