Ethnopharmacological relevance

Asplenium trichomanes was used as an expectorant, anti-cough remedy, laxative, emmenagogue, abortifacient and for irregular menses.

Aim of the study

To investigate the in vitro estrogenic activity of Asplenium trichomanes extracts and isolated compounds and their ability to activate ERα and ERβ.

Materials and methods

Leaves infusion (IF), decoction (DC) and methanol extract (ME) were prepared. MCF7/EREluc cell line which expresses endogenous ERα, and SK-NBE cells transiently transfected with the estrogen receptors (ERα and ERβ) were used for the estrogenic activity assays. Phytochemical investigations were performed (CC, HPLC, etc.) and structure of isolated compounds were achieved on the basis of 1D and 2D NMR techniques and HR-MS spectrometry.

Results

IF and ME were active in our MCF7 model; selectivity for the ERβ receptor was observed in the SK-NBE test. Two new phenol derivatives, 4-vinyl-phenol-1-O-[α-l-rhamno(1 → 6)-β-d-glucopyranosyde] (1) and kaempferol-3-O-α-[2′acetyl]-arabinofuranosyl-7-O-α-l-rhamnopyranoside (2) were isolated with six known compounds (38). Compounds 24, 7 and 8 showed selectivity for the activation of the ERβ receptor although with a moderate activity compared with 17-β-estradiol.

Conclusion

Further investigations about the estrogenic effects of this plant are needed but our data can, at least in part, explain some of its traditional use as emmeagogue.  相似文献

目的:考察从五味子科分离到的30种木脂素的体外抗氧化活性,筛选出具有较强抗氧化活性的化合物。方法:通过总抗氧化能力和DPPH自由基清除能力,对30种木脂素进行抗氧化活性测试。结果:(+)-安五脂素、内消旋二氢愈创木脂酸和五味子酯甲表现出较强抗氧化活性。结论:本文研究了五味子中木脂素类的抗氧化活性,为五味子科植物的研究开发提供参考。  相似文献

目的:研究野八角果实的化学成分及生物活性。方法:应用硅胶、反相、凝胶色谱及制备 HPLC 对野八角果实的乙醇提取物进行分离纯化, 并且通过光谱方法鉴定化合物结构。进一步用 MTT 法对所分离化合物进行细胞毒活性测试。结果:7 个化合物被分离并鉴定为:veranisatin F (1), anisatin (2), (1S)-minwanenone (3), honokiol (4), macranthol (5), (+)-pinoresinol (6),matairesinol (7)。结论:化合物 1 是一个新的高氧化裂-prezizaane 型倍半萜, 化合物 6 和 7 首次从野八角中分离得到。5-氟脲嘧啶作为阳性对照, 化合物 2 和 3 对人大细胞肺癌细胞株和人肝癌细胞株的增长有较强的的抑制活性, 7 则比较微弱, 其他化合物显示无细胞毒活性。  相似文献

Evidence suggests that low serum enterolactone concentration might be an independent risk factor for acute coronary events. Enterolactone is a lignan, which is formed by intestinal bacteria from precursors in plant foods. Due to the biphenolic structure of enterolactone, it could act as an antioxidant and through this contribute to cardiovascular health. The aim of this study was to test the hypothesis that a low serum enterolactone concentration is associated with increased in vivo lipid peroxidation, assessed by plasma F2-isoprostane concentrations. We investigated this association in a subset of participants in ‘The Antioxidant Supplementation in Atherosclerosis Prevention’ (ASAP) study. Out of 256 male participants a subsample of 100 consecutive men from baseline was selected for F2-isoprostane assays. The mean serum enterolactone concentration was 16.6 nmol/l and that of F2-isoprostanes 29.6 ng/l. The correlation coefficient for association between serum enterolactone and F2-isoprostane concentrations was −0.30 (P<0.003). Plasma F2-isoprostane levels decreased linearly across quintiles of serum enterolactone concentration (P=0.008 for a linear trend). In a multivariate model, enterolactone persisted as a significant predictor after adjustment for vitamins and other variables, with the strongest associations with F2-isoprostanes. Our present data suggest that low serum enterolactone concentration is associated with enhanced in vivo lipid peroxidation in men.  相似文献

目的验证不同工艺制备的降酶灵胶囊中五味子总木脂素的溶解度和溶出速度。方法以聚乙烯吡咯烷酮 (PVP) 为载体制备固体分散体; 以β -环糊精 (β- CD) 包合技术制备包合物, 以人工胃液为溶出介质, 紫外分光光度法测定不同制备工艺下成品的溶解度和体外溶出度。结果固体分散体的五味子总木脂素溶解度最大,与原工艺相比溶出度显著增加 (P<0. 01)。结论固体分散体有速释作用, 可考虑用固体分散技术改进降酶灵胶囊的制备工艺。  相似文献

目的建立亚麻籽提取物中开环异落叶松树脂酚二葡萄糖苷(SDG)含量的HPLC测定分析法。方法色谱条件为Hypersil ODS C18(4.6 mm×250 mm,5μm),流速1.5 mL.min-1,柱温25℃,检测波长220 nm,用乙腈-0.12%磷酸溶液作为流动相进行梯度洗脱。结果SDG在0.3~6.0μg内与峰面积呈良好的线性关系,r=0.999 9。平均加样回收率为99.7%,RSD为1.13%。结论本方法精确可靠,可作为亚麻籽提取物质量控制的方法。  相似文献

研究金钗石斛茎中的抗氧化活性成分,并探讨它们的构效关系。综合运用现代色谱学和光谱学方法对金钗石斛60%乙醇提取物中的化学成分进行分离鉴定,采用DPPH自由基清除法评价化合物的抗氧化活性。从金钗石斛的活性部位中分离得到5个菲类化合物和4个木脂素类化合物,它们的结构鉴定为流苏菲(1),毛兰菲(2),4-甲氧基菲-2,7-二醇(3),2,5-二羟基-4,9-二甲氧基菲(4),3,7-二羟基-2,4-二甲氧基菲(5),丁香脂素(6),松脂素(7),5′-甲氧基松脂素(8),鹅掌揪树脂醇-A(9)。化合物2和6对DPPH自由基清除活性强于Vc;化合物3,4,5,7,8和9的活性弱于Vc,但强于BHT。所有化合物均为首次报道从金钗石斛中分离得到,化合物3,4和9为首次报道从石斛属植物中分离得到。在DPPH自由基清除法中,酚羟基的邻位存在具有供电作用的甲氧基时对菲类和木脂素类化合物的抗氧化活性具有积极的作用。  相似文献

The effects of lignans, related to macelignan, on hepatic microsomal drug-metabolizing enzyme (DME) activity were evaluated to elucidate the structure-activity relationship in mice and rats. The compounds carrying the methylenedioxyphenyl nucleus were found to be the most potent among compounds tested; which not only produced a marked inhibition of DME with a single dose but a significant induction with repeated treatments. Lack of the methylenedioxy group caused marked decrease in the activity, implying that a methylenedioxy group is essential and of major importance eliciting DME modifying activity.
