AIMS: Type 2 diabetes mellitus (DM) and coronary artery disease (CAD) are both associated with endothelial dysfunction and elevated oxidative and inflammatory state. We examined the effect of vitamin C on endothelial function and levels of soluble vascular cell adhesion molecule (sVCAM-1), interleukin-6 (IL-6) and tumour necrosis factor (TNF-alpha), in DM patients with or without CAD and in non-diabetic subjects. METHODS: Thirty-seven patients with DM + CAD, 17 patients with DM without CAD and 21 non-diabetic subjects were divided into groups receiving vitamin C 2 g/day or no anti-oxidant for 4 weeks. Forearm blood flow was determined using venous occlusion gauge-strain plethysmography. Forearm vasodilatory response to reactive hyperemia was considered as index of endothelium-dependent dilation. RESULTS: Baseline levels of IL-6 and TNF-alpha were significantly higher in patients with DM + CAD compared with patients with DM (P < 0.01) or non-diabetic subjects (P < 0.01). IL-6 and TNF-alpha levels were also higher in DM compared with non-diabetic subjects (P < 0.05). sVCAM-1 levels were lower in non-diabetic controls compared with DM + CAD (P < 0.05) or DM (P < 0.05). Reactive hyperaemia was higher in non-diabetic controls compared with DM + CAD (P < 0.001) or DM (P < 0.001). Vitamin C significantly increased reactive hyperaemia only in the DM + CAD group, while it had no effect on serum levels of sVCAM-1, TNF-alpha and IL-6 in any of the groups. CONCLUSIONS: Type 2 diabetes mellitus is associated with impaired endothelial function and increased levels of TNF-alpha, IL-6 and sVCAM-1, especially in patients with DM and CAD. 目的:观察第二、三代口服避孕药(COC)对育龄妇女体重指数、血压、血糖和血脂的影响。方法:将自愿服用COC避孕1年的妇女105例随机分为两组,其中54例给予第二代COC(EE/LNG组),51例给予第三代COC(EE/DG组)。并对研究前后所有病例的体重指数(BMI)、血压、血糖和血脂代谢指标进行比较分析。结果:EE/LNG组:BMI、收缩压、舒张压、甘油三酯(TG)、总胆固醇(TC)、低密度脂蛋白(LDL)和载脂蛋白B(ApoB)水平均升高,高密度脂蛋白(HDL)水平下降,血糖、载脂蛋白AI(ApoAI)水平无明显改变。EE/DG组收缩压、TG、HDL水平升高,BMI、舒张压、血糖、TC、LDL、ApoAI和ApoB均未发生显著变化。以上所有测量指标均未超出正常范围。结论:使用1年第二、三代COC对妇女BMI、血压和血脂代谢都有微弱的影响,对空腹血糖无明显影响。第三代COC对妇女BMI、收缩压、舒张压、TG、TC、LDL、HDL水平和ApoB的不利影响小于第二代,更加安全可靠。 相似文献

Rhinoviruses were isolated from nasopharyngeal secretions of 49 children hospitalized because of severe respiratory tract infection. The isolates were typed using 90 type-specific antisera. No obvious relation between certain serotypes and the severity of illness was found. Serum samples were drawn from all children simultaneously with the nasopharyngeal secretions and screened for the presence of type-specific neutralizing antibodies. Children aged 1 week to 6 months had higher neutralizing antibody titers and revealed a lower degree of morbidity than older children. The decline of neutralizing serum antibodies with increasing age was correlated with a higher incidence of severe disease in those aged 7-12 months. Nevertheless, also in this age group children with mild clinical courses of disease were observed despite a low concentration or an absence of neutralizing serum antibodies. This indicates that not only neutralizing serum antibodies, but other factors also influence the clinical expression of RHV-induced disease. 相似文献

目的探讨心肌酶水平对窒息新生儿心肌损害的诊断价值。方法将12例窒息新生儿为实验组,另外收集10例同期正常新生儿作为对照组。两组新生儿经股静脉穿刺采血2 ml,分离血清,在24 h内测定心肌酶活性,同时做心电图检查,统计学处理采用t检验。结果两组血清心肌酶测定结果比较显示两组血清心肌酶均值间的差别有显著性意义。窒息组均出现心电图改变。结论血清心肌酶活性测定及心电图检测可作为新生儿窒息后心肌损害的早期监测和诊断的指标,为早期治疗提供依据。 相似文献

Inflammation is often viewed as a pathologic mechanism leading to tissue damage and interference with function, such as the process of chronic tissue scarring or fibrosis. However, it is important to note that inflammation is a crucial component of normal tissue repair as well as being fundamental to the body's defense against infection. Considering inflammation as a "causative agent in aging" belies the underlying mechanisms whereby the acute inflammatory response is necessary for survival, and efforts to reduce and control the inflammatory response leave the host susceptible to infectious agents and improper healing. Chronic inflammation inevitably has initiating mechanisms that include immune, autoimmune, and metabolic pathways, leading to the activation and presence of the host-protective response. It is more appropriate to target the underlying initiating conditions than the inflammatory process that ensues and treat the basic mechanisms of disease rather than interfere in a very important protective mechanism of the host. 相似文献

目的:探讨广西地区人群体重指数(BMI)与血压、血糖、血脂、脂肪肝、心电图异常、性别、民族及其他心脑血管病史等因素的相关性,并比较这些因素在壮族与汉族人群中的差异。方法:对在本院及田阳县、田东县参加体检的1105例壮族与汉族人群询问病史并检查身高、体重、血压、空腹血糖、血脂、肝脏B超、心电图等。结果:在按制其他因素后,汉族人群BMI与脂肪肝、舒张压水平及高血压病史呈密切正相关关系,男性BMI高于女性;壮族人群BMI与脂肪肝、血清甘油三酯浓度及收缩压水平有密切正相关关系,汉族人群的年龄、BMI、血清甘油三酯浓度、胆固醇浓度、收缩压水平、脂肪肝检出率及心电图异常检出率均较壮族人群高。结论:肥胖与脂肪肝、血压、血脂密切相关,且广西汉族人群肥胖、脂肪肝、高血脂、高血压及心电图异常较壮族人群更常见。 相似文献

本实验动态观察了缺锌和缺锌后补锌对大鼠力竭性游泳前后辜丸和血清睾酮、锌水平以及游泳能力的影响。结果显示:缺锌造成大鼠游泳能力大大降低,补锌后明显增加。不论安静时还是力竭性游泳后12小时内,缺锌大鼠的血清和辜丸锌含量均显著低于对照和补锌大鼠。与对照和补锌大鼠相比,缺锌大鼠的血清和睾丸酮含量,安静时均较低,力竭性游泳后也呈现不同程度的降低。缺锌还造成大鼠辜丸重量的明显下降。结果表明,锌营养不良将损害运动能力。 相似文献

Comparison of the effect of intravenous ketoprofen, ketorolac and diclofenac on platelet function in volunteers 总被引:1,自引:0,他引:1
Background : Nonsteroidal anti–inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) inhibit prostaglandin synthesis which may result in impaired platelet function. Because NSAIDs have different abilities to inhibit cyclo–oxygenases we compared the effect of intravenous ketoprofen, ketorolac and diclofenac on platelet function in volunteers. Methods : Ten healthy male volunteers were given ketoprofen 1.4 mg kg-1, ketorolac 0.4 mg kg-1 and diclofenac 1.1 mg kg-1 in saline i.v. on three different occasions, at more than one–week intervals, in a randomized double–blind crossover study. Platelet function was evaluated before (sample 0), 2 (sample 2) and 24 h (sample 3) after the beginning of the infusion. Results : Two of the volunteers had no secondary platelet aggregation in their aggregation curves before the experiment (sample 0, studied three times) and their results were excluded from the final analysis. Diclofenac inhibited adrenaline (0.9 μg–ml-1) induced platelet aggregation less (median maximal aggregation 22.5%) than ketoprofen (18.3%) and ketorolac (15.7%) (P<0.05) in sample 2. In the ketorolac group in sample 3 an impairment of adrenaline (0.9 ng ml-1) induced platelet aggregation was still seen (26.7%) (P<0.05) but not in the other groups. Diclofenac did not affect adenosine diphosphate (ADP) induced platelet aggregation. However, ketorolac caused an impairment in ADP (3 μM and 6 μM) induced platelet aggregation and ketoprofen in ADP (6 μM) induced platelet aggregation in sample 2. Bleeding time was prolonged (P<0.05) after ketoprofen and ketorolac (sample 2) but not after diclofenac. Platelet retention on glass beads was unaffected by the tested drugs. Conclusion : Ketoprofen, ketorolac and diclofenac caused a reversible platelet dysfunction. 本文对26例儿童单纯性肾病综合征患者血清可溶性白细胞介素2受体(SIL-2R)及T细胞亚群进行研究。结果表明肾病活动期SIL-2R值升高(均值为895±245U/ml),CD_4~+/CD_8~+比值降低(P<0.01),而肾病缓解期SIL-2R(均值为494±127U/ml)及CD_4~+/CD_8~+比值恢复正常,将SIL-2R值与CD_4~+/CD_8~+比值进行相关分析,发现两者呈负相关(r=-0.61,P<0.05)。提示SIL-2R水平的升高及T细胞亚群的紊乱在儿童单纯性肾病发病机制中起到重要的作用。 相似文献
