Analyses of the characteristics of diarrhea by acupuncture treatment in ancient times

The data concerning the treatment of diarrhea by acupuncture in 62 ancient books are computerized and thus show that the ancient acupuncturists primarily used the acupoints of the conception vessel, stomach meridian, bladder meridian, and the foot yin meridians.As to the location, the acupoints on the abdomen, back,exterior side of leg and the hands and feet are used. The common techniques are moxibustion, hot compression,needling, blood letting, navel application and so on.     

《中医古籍分类标准》编制原则与方法探讨

目前中医行业亟需建立统一的中医古籍分类标准,以规范中医古籍分类和管理。基于此,通过对各种中医古籍分类方法的调查研究,制定了中医古籍分类标准的编制原则,对照《中国中医古籍总目》分类表,参考《中华古籍总目》分类表,对具体类目进行设置与调整,最终形成《中医古籍分类标准》。在此基础上,对8663种中医古籍进行了分类实践与应用。《中医古籍分类标准》可为各类中医古籍藏书单位提供明确和可靠的分类参考依据,进而更好地促进中医古籍分类方法的统一,推进中医古籍的共享与利用。     

Characteristics of acupuncture treatment of dementia in ancient times

This paper makes a statistical analysis on the acupuncture treatment of dementia recorded in 93 ancient books. The statistics show that the common acupoints are Shenmen (HT 7), Shaoshang (LU 11), Dazhong (KI 4), Yinbai (SP 1), Houxi (SI 3), Xinshu (BL 15), Yongquan (KI 1), Jiuwei (CV 15) and Baihui (GV 20); the common meridians are the Heart Meridian, Bladder Meridian and Kidney Meridian; the common areas are palm, medial side of leg, upper back and head; the acupoints of the heart meridian are frequently used, especially those in the distal end; heavy moxibustion functions to open orifices and needling to regulate qi. 《针灸资生经》灸法特点浅析

《针灸资生经》以灸法的载述独见其长。就该书的灸法特点作了浅述。书中言及用灸法治疗的病证较广;对腧穴宜针宜灸、宜灸不宜针、宜少灸及禁灸穴都作了记述;所列病证灸方用穴精简,大部分灸方只取一穴施灸;重视压痛穴的应用,作为确定施灸穴位的依据;提倡"先上后下,先阳后阴"的施灸原则;重视灸感,对灸感现象有详尽的描述;灸疗法众多,灸药并用的论述也较多;临证时根据患者身体强弱、年龄、部位、病情选择艾炷大小和艾灸壮数,控制灸量;阴虚燥盛之证及孕妇、产后应当慎灸;该书作者认为治病应以调理脾胃为本,并注重预防。该书对灸法的收录和运用广博,而且实用,对后世针灸医学产生了深远的影响。     

Characteristics analysis on acupuncture treatment of stranguria in ancient times

This paper makes a statiscal analysis on the acupuncture treatment of stranguria recorded in 62 ancient books with computer. The statistics show that the frequently treated meridians are Conception Vessel, three yin meridians of foot, and Bladder Meridian; the commonly treated areas are lower abdomen, midial aspects of legs, and lower back; the commonly used techniques are moxibustion, and needling. The evolution of paediatrics from archaeological times to the mid-nineteenth century and the historical influence on present day practice

The history of childcare dates back to the beginning of time. This article critically analyses the history of paediatrics from its roots to mid-nineteenth century with the view to examine its evolution and influence on today's practice. Paediatrics as a sub-speciality of medicine only began in the fifteenth century when the Four Incunabula were published in the West. This was the first attempt at producing a comprehensive and accessible reference paediatric text. However, long before the Incunabula, early traces of childcare are found in different cultures like Egyptian, Indian and Chinese. Modern paediatrics is a highly advanced field of medicine that relies on many recent technological innovations. In spite of these, this paper concludes that paediatrics today is very much based on concepts, such as observation and clinical skills, introduced many centuries ago. The basic approach used in everyday clinical practice owes more to century-old ideas of scientists.     

痨瘵的古代针灸治疗特点分析

运用计算机对古医籍中针灸治疗痨瘵的文献资料进行系统全面的统计、归纳和分析,结果表明治疗痨瘵多取上背部、胸脘部和小腿阳明经穴以宣肺健脾抗痨;取小腹部任脉穴和下背部肾俞等穴以益肾抗痨.临床多用灸法,也采用针刺及其补泻手法和刺血疗法.并提出临床治疗的参考处方.
