Design and clinical application of turnaround management module based on PDA mobile information technology
Abstract:Objective To investigate the construction of personal digital assistant (PDA) rollover management module and evaluate its clinical application effect. Methods On the basis of consulting relevant literature, combined with the paper turning card used in clinic, a PDA-based turning management module was constructed. 60 patients who needed to establish a turnover card were selected from July to December 2020 in the burn wound center of a tertiary hospital as the control group, and 60 patients who needed to establish a turnover card from January to July 2021 were selected as the experimental group. The control group used traditional paper rollover cards, while the experimental group used a PDA-based rollover management module. Compare the implementation rate of the two groups of turnaround measures, the use of stress reduction tools, the time required to record the turnover, and the satisfaction of the caregivers. Results The implementation rate of the turnaround measures in the experimental group was 90%, which was higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The use rate of decompression tools in the experimental group (100% of air cushion beds, 91.6% of turning pillows, 53.33% of foam dressings) was higher than that of the control group (90% of air cushion beds, 75% of turning pillows, 33.3% of foam dressings), and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The time required for the experimental group to turn over and record was (10.96±1.21) seconds, which was less than that of the control group (15.03±1.28) seconds, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). The satisfaction of nursing staff in the experimental group was 90% higher than that of the control group, and the difference between the two groups was statistically significant (P<0.05). Conclusion The PDA-based rollover management module can improve the implementation rate of turning over measures and the use rate of stress reduction tools for patients who need to establish a turnover card, shorten the time required for turning over records, and improve the satisfaction of nursing staff.
