Clinical Study of the Application of Multimodal Analgesia in Perioperative Elderly Patients Undergoing Orthopedic Surgery

Objective To investigate the effect of multimodal analgesia on perioperative elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery in the Department of Orthopedics.Methods A total of 128 elderly patients underwent orthopedic surgery in the Department of Orthopedics of the hospital from June 2019 to October 2020 were selected and randomly divided into the multimodal group and the control group,with 64 cases in each group.The patients in the two groups were given routine anesthesia before surgery and oral administration of Celecoxib Capsules after surgerypatient-controlled intravenous analgesia(PCIA)with Hydromorphone Hydrochloride Injection can be used in case of severe postoperative pain].The patients in the multimodal group were given multimodal analgesia,including oral administration of Celecoxib Capsules 2 d before surgery,and they were given Ropivacaine Hydrochloride Injection,Methylprednisolone Sodium Succinate for Injection,Morphine Hydrochloride Tablets and Adrenaline Hydrochloride Injection for nerve root block and local closure of the surgical incision during surgery.Results The visual analogue scale(VAS)score of pain symptoms at 6,12 and 24 h after surgery and the levels of C-reactive protein(C.RP)and interleukin-6(IL-6)at 24 h after surgery in the multimodal group were significantly lower than those in the control group(P<0.05).There was no significant difference in postoperative morphine use rate(1.56%vs.7.81%),discharge time(13.44±2.47)d vs.(14.06±3.26)d]and incidence of adverse reaction(15.63%vs.10.94%)between the multimodal group and the control group(P>0.05).Conclusion Multimodal analgesia can reduce the degree of postoperative pain and reduce the level of inflammatory factors in perioperative elderly patients undergoing orthopedic surgery.
