| Abstract: | This article describes the anatomy and physiology of the gustatory and olfactory organs in man. Dysfunction of these senses is closely examined with respect to etiology, diagnosis, and treatment. Taste and smell are closely interrelated. An influence on the function of one sense often affects the function of the other sense. |
