Objective To provide relevant measures to combat manufacturing and selling counterfeit medicines. Methods The analysis was conducted from three aspects of publicity, supervision and the third- party supervision to put forward the countermeasures and suggestions. Results and Conclusion In terms of regulation, we should move forward to improve the laws and regulations, strengthen the cooperation between departments, implement the government accountability mechanism firmly, enhance the supervision and inspection of drugs, and strengthen the supervision of the internet and enterprises in the related industrial chain. In terms of publicity, we should step up propagation and coverage, integrate the information of counterfeit medicines, improve the pertinence and effectiveness targeted to the specific population, and establish a comprehensive reporting mechanism. In terms of the third party supervision, we should increase the intensity of the media network of supervision to drug safety, strengthen the moral sense of responsibility so as to play a more active role in safeguarding the public safety of medication.
