Abstract: | A 27 year old man developed neuralgic amyotrophy of the right upper limb 5 weeks after an acute febrile illness which was proven serologically to be caused by Ebstein-Barr virus. The weakness developed in a limb that had been used to perform heavy manual labour. A parallel with a similar phenomenon described in association with paralytic poliomyelitis is noted.- |
