Standards and accreditation of baccalaureate nursing programs

This paper briefly introduced the development trends of standardization of global medical and nursing education, and elaborated the functions, contents and characteristics of the standards for baccalaureate nursing education in China. Moreover,it further demonstrated the basic procedure of accreditation of baccalaureate nursing programs in China,including the constitution of accreditation panel and thesteps,forms and process of accreditation activities. It attempts to help domestic nursing schools and colleges to grasp a deep understanding of the connotation of the standards for baccalaureate nursing education and the meanings of accreditation of baccalaureate nursing programs.
