A New Method of Scorepoint for X-Ray Recording of Pneumoconiosis

A method of scorepoint for X-ray of pneumoconiosis was introduced, in which a proper score was given to a chest X-ray film according to severity of the radiographic changes of pneumoconiosis. In this method, a score was given to a film usually according to the density of small opacity of each lung field. On the basis of this theory, a film with "ax"or other special gings was also given a score, and furthermore a film with big shadow was given a score mainly according to the area of the big shadow. The method is based on The ILO Classification of Chest Roentgenograph of pneumoconiosis, and The Roentgenodiagnostic Criteria of pneumoconiosis of our country. It is convenient for a quantitative observation of chest roentgenographs using the method to transform X-ray change records into a digital score. The theoretic results of this score have a good coincidence with the results of actual observation.
