Abstract:The major urinary glycosaminoglycan and its related substance were separated from a patient suffering from epidermolysis bullosa dystrophica et albo-papuloidea (Pasini), and characterized as partially degraded chondroitin B and chondroitin sulfate B, respectively. Moreover, the amounts of partially degraded chondroitin sulfates C and/or A, the major glycosaminoglycans in normal urine, decreased in this disease.
