| Abstract: | In four short-term CAPD patients(mean 2.6 months),we investigated the P'Splasma free concentrations of 16 kinds of amino acids by HPLC method and 4 it(?)ms of ra-tio were calculated,i.e.total essential amino acids/total non-essential amino acids,tyro-sine/phenylalanine,serine/glycine and valine/glycine.As compared with control group's,it was found that the CAPD group's concentrations of plasma total essential amino acidsand valine,isoleucine,tryptophan were decreased markedly but phenylalanine was increa-sed;while the levels of total non-essential amino acids and aspartic acid,glutamic acid,glycine,alanine were significantly higher and serine was lower than those of the controlgroup.We conclude that short-term CAPD does not correct the abnormal plasma aminoacid levels in uremic patients and it makes little improvement on the 4 ratios as mention-ed above. |
