| Abstract: | Experience in selective spinal cord arteriographyin 17 cases is reported. 10 were cord arteriovenousmalformations (AVMs) and 7 cord tumors. 15 wereverified by surgery and pathology. Selective spinalcord arteriography plays an important role in diagnos-ing cord AVM, as it helps to locate them. Pathologicvessels are also shown in all but 2 cases of cordtumors. Meticulous and careful catheterization andfamiliarity with the anatomy of the cord vessels areprerequisites for success. The procedure is safe andno severe complications occurred in any of our cases. |
