E-cad及其相关蛋白在上皮性卵巢肿瘤中的表达及临床意义

目的 :探讨E cadherin(E cad)、α catenin(α cat)、β catenin(β cat)在上皮性卵巢肿瘤中的表达及临床意义。方法 :采用免疫组化SP法检测 3项指标在 32例正常卵巢 ,38例良性上皮性卵巢肿瘤及 10 6例上皮性卵巢癌中的表达。结果 :E cad、α cat及β cat在恶性组中的表达均低于良性组 ,差异有显著性 (P <0 .0 5 )。E cad、α cat及 β cat的表达均与临床分期有关 (P <0 .0 5 )。E cad表达阳性者生存时间长于表达阴性者 (P <0 .0 1)。结论 :E cad ,α cat,β cat的表达与卵巢癌的分化程度、浸润转移等恶性行为有一定的相关性。E cad可作为评价生存预后的指标。

Study of the expression and clinical significance of E-cadherin and its associated protein in epithelial ovarian carcinoma

Objective:To study the expression of the epithelial adhesion molecule E cadherin (E cad) and its associated proteins α catenin and β catenin in epithelial ovarian carcinomas, as well as their correlations with clinicopathological characteristics.Method:The protein levels of E cad,α catenin (α cat) and β catenin (β cat) were detected by immunohistochemical analysis in samples of 32 normal ovaries, 38 benign epithelial ovarian tumours and 106 epithelial ovarian carcinomas.Results:Compared with staining of benign tumors, expressions of E cad,α cat and β cat in epithelial ovarian carcinomas were apparently decreased, which was statistically significant(P<0.05). Expressions of E cad,α cat and β cat were correlative with clinical stage(P<0.05). As to the duration of survival, patients with negative expression of E cad presented a significantly shorter survival than that in positive ones.Conclusion:Expressions of these three proteins are correlated with differentiation of ovarian tumours as well as tumor malignant potency, such as invasion and metastasis. Expression of E cad has prognostic value in epithelial ovarian cancers.
