| 摘 要： | Objective To study the clinical significance of the expression of XIAP and COX-2 in pterygiurn and normal conjunctiva.To investigate the correlation between XIAP,COX-2 and pterygiurn.Methods The expression of XIAP and COX-2 in 40 ptergiurn and 15 normal conjunctiva was assessed by the immunohistochemical method.Results Pterygial specimens were positive for XIAP and COX-2 expression,which is higher in the normal conjunctia(0%).There were significant differences in the expression of XIAP and COX-2 between the pterygiurn and normal conjunctiva.The expression of XIAP was positively correlated with that of COX-2 in pterygium(P＜0.05).Conclusions The high expression of XIAP and COX-2 in pteryglum and the positive correlation between XIAP and COX-2 suggest that they may play an important role in the occurrence and development of pterygium.
