The evaluation of immediate osseous dental implant case selection criteria

Immediate osseous dental implant is regarded as the developing tendency of dental implant in the 21st century. To maximize the benefits of immediate dental implant and to minimize the implant failure, case selection must be based on sound clinical and research criteria. This paper will outline a synthesis of case selection criteria reflecting the following factors ： alveolar bone quality and quantity, presence of infection, esthetic results, soft tissue circumstances, anatomical considerations, the patient＇ s oral hygiene,level of compliance and body status.
