Abstract: | Objective To explore the application effect of KWL form combined with case discussion teaching in the training of new nurses in neonates department. Methods The KWL form combined with case discussion teaching method was used to train 49 nurses employed in neonates department from June 2019 to June 2021, their theoretical knowledge, operational skills, child management assessment results were compared before and after the training, and satisfaction with the training were measured too. Results After the training, the scores of theoretical knowledge, operational skills and assessment were higher than before (all P<0.05). The result of training effect satisfaction showed that the training content selection and training plan arrangement were highly satisfied. Conclusions The teaching method of KWL form combined with case discussion can improve the theoretical knowledge level and operational skills of new nurses in neonatology department, improve their self-learning ability and management ability of children. |
