Abstract:Objective To explore the effects of the refurm of health education methods in surgical nursing teaching. Method Forty - eight nursing students in one class were enrolled as the experimental group,and the variety of teaching methuds such as case teaching, situational teaching and cooperative learning were applied in the group. And atotal of 142 students in the other 3 classes were recruited as the control group,and the traditional teaching methods were used in it. The teaching contents for the two groups were about health education of 3 surgical diseases, and the effects were compared between the two groups. Results The evaluation results in improving learning interest,enhancing learning motivation,reinforcing understanding of knowledge and memory,improving self - learning and strengthening communication skills in the experimental group were better than the control group. The score of theoretical test in the experimental group was higher than the contrnl group. The differences were statistically significant ( P 〈 0.01 or P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion Application of variety teaching meth- ods of case teaching,situational teaching and cooperative learning can enhance the ahility of heahh education of nursing students in surgical nursing teaching.
