Abstract:Objective To explore appropriate hemostasis methods,so as to reduce the incidence of subcutaneous bleeding and subcutaneous bematoma of dialysis arteriovenous fistula puncture sites,and to extend the available use of arteriovenous fistula. Methods A total of 80 patients were chosen by convenience sampling method and were divided into two groups. Group A received finger pressure plus stretch gauze bandage to stop bleeding, and Group B received scotch tape rolls hemostasis method. The bleeding time and the incidences of subcutaneous bleeding and subcutaneous hematoma were compared between the two groups. Results The average time and the average amount of bleeding in puncture sites of Group A were significantly lower than Group B( P 〈 0.01 ). And the inci - dences af subcutaneous bleeding and subcutaneous hematoma of Group A were significantly lower than Group B (P 〈 0.01 or P 〈 0.05 ). Conclusion Finger pressure plus stretch ganza bandage method is a relative safe and effective method to stop bleeding in arteriovenous fistula puncture sites.
