EMG biofeedback in tendon transplantation for foot drop

Summary EMG biofeedback training was used successfully to obtain the desired new function of dorsiflexion in the transplanted muscle for two patients with foot drop. The transplanted muscles are now working effectively, not only the active movement but also during a walk.It is concluded that EMG biofeedback training is useful in rehabilitation following tendon trnaplantation for foot drop.

Zusammenfassung Das EMG biofeedback training wurde bei der postoperativen Behandlung der Sehnentransplantation für zwei Spitzfußpatienten verwendet. Durch these Behandlung wird die Wiederherstellung der Dorsalflexionsfähigkeit des Fußgelenkes erreicht. Sowohl bei der aktiven Bewegung als auch beim Gehen funktioniert der transplantierte Muskel zufriedenstellend.Es kann gesagt werden, daß das EMG biofeedback training bei der postoperativen Rehabilitation von Sehnentransplantationen für Spitzfußpatienten erfolgreich anzuwenden ist.
