| Abstract: | Objective： To discuss the clinical practice of complications in mandibular third molars surgery.Methods： From 1998-01—2009-12,1 965 extraction cases were retrospectively studied.Results： 102（41.8%） complications occurred during operation.142（58.2%） cases appeared postoperative complications.In the 244 complication cases,of which 61 cases（25%） were occurred simultaneously during and after extraction.Conclusion： The removal of impacted tooth should choose a correct procedure.Dental panoramic films should be taken to determine the root direction and the resistance force from bone and soft tissue.Gentle surgical manipulation might shorten the extraction time and reduce trauma and complications.Inadequate preoperative preparation or improper operative procedures were mostly related to the occurrence of complications. |
