Abstract:Abtract Defects of the glabella and nasal root region are usually difficult to manage, when the aesthetic aspects are taken into consideration. Efforts at reconstruction may result in intercanthal contractures, a longitudinal scar extending to the forehead, nasal deformities or at least a visible scar at one of the most significant aesthetic units of the face. A surgical technique is presented for the reconstruction of glabellar defects designed in order to place the scars in natural wrinkle lines and to minimize closure tension. Seven patients underwent the ldquosub-browrdquo flap procedure for reconstruction of glabellar defects of various sizes. No complications were seen during the follow-up period and satisfactory cosmetic results were achieved.
