| Abstract: | Summary: Phagocytosis and intracellular killing of Trichophyton mentagrophytes microconidia by polymorphonuclear leucocgtes of 12 patients with Trichophyton mentagrophytes infection and 10 healthy controls were investigated. The rates of killing ahr 1 h of incubation were 0% in the control group and 10–27% in 9 of 12 patients with tinea infections. The highest rates of killing after 1 and 2½ h of incubation were found in patients with chronic or relapsing superficial tinea.
Zusammenfassung: Es den die Phagozytose und die intrazelluläre Abtötung von Trichophyton mentagrophytes Mikrokonidien bei 12 Patienten mit Trichophyton mentagrophptes Infektionen und 10 gesunden Kontrollen untersucht. Die Abtötungsraten betrugen nach einstündiger Inkubation 0% in der Kontrollgruppe und 10–27 % bei 9 von 12 Patienten mit Tinea-Infektionen. Die höchsten Abtötungsraten den nach ein- und zweieinhalbstündiger Inkubation bei Patienten mit chronischer oder rezidivierender Tinea superficialis angetroffen. |
