Changes of heart rate variability in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus

Objective:To analyze the changes of heart rate variability in pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus.Methods:Fifty pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus in Yangchun Women and Child Health Hospital from January 2018 to April 2020 were enrolled in the study as the observation group,and 50 healthy pregnant women as the control group,with 20-36 years old,gestational age 24-40 weeks.Holter was performed in all pregnant women.The mean heart rate(AHR),standard deviation of NN intervals calculated over a 24-hour period(SDNN),standard deviation of the average NN intervals calculated over 5 minutes within a 24-hour period(SDANN),the root mean square of adjacent R-R interval difference within 24 hours(rMSSD),the percentage of adjacent NN R-R interval difference>50 ms(PNN50),total frequency(TF),low frequency spectral power(LF),high frequency spectral power(HF)and LF/HF were compared in the two groups.Results:The levels of SDNN,SDANN,TF,LF and HF were lower in the observation group than those in the control group(P<0.05),without statistical difference for PNN50,LF/HF,AHR and rMSSD(P>0.05).Conclusion:The autonomic nerve regulation function of pregnant women with gestational diabetes mellitus is decreased,and the difference of heart rate variability can be found by dynamic electrocardiogram.
