| Abstract: | This issue of News & Views will review notable presentations from the 18th Annual Scientific Session of the North American Society of Pacing and Electrophysiology (NASPE), which took place in New Orleans, Louisiana, May 7-10, 1997. Highlights of the meeting included presentation of the results of clinical trials using implantable cardiac defibrillators (ICDs) in patients with life-threatening ventricular arrhythmias, and the application of interventional techniques for the treatment of atrial fibrillation (AF). |
