Abstract:Objective To compare the clinical effect of intravenous administration of dexmedetomidine and propofol for moderate sedation in subarachnoid anesthesia.Methods A total of 100 patients with subarachnoid anesthesia were divided into research group and control group according to random numerical table,with 50 cases in each group.The research group received dexmedetomidine for moderate sedation,and the control group received propofol for moderate sedation.The anesthesia indexes,occurrence of adverse reactions and anesthesia satisfaction were compared between the two groups.Results The effective anesthesia time(226.12±5.73)min and time required for observers assessment of alertness/sedation scale(OAA/S)score to recover to≥4 points(27.31±2.29)min of the research group were longer than(143.27±4.35)and(15.36±1.23)min,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The incidence of adverse reactions of the research group was 18.0%,which was lower than 36.0%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).The anesthesia satisfaction of the research group was 78.0%,which was higher than 36.0%of the control group,and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Intravenous administration of dexmedetomidine shows better effect than propofol for moderate sedation in subarachnoid anesthesia,which can not only effectively improve the various indicators of the patient,but also significantly improve the satisfaction of patients after surgery,which is worthy of scientific research and clinical promotion.
