Study on the status quo and influencing factors of nursing students'professional identity during the major epidemic

Objective To understand the status quo and influencing factors of nursing students'professional identity during the major epidemic,and to provide theoretical basis for vocational ideological education in colleges and universities during the epidemic.Methods A total of 935 nursing students in four medical colleges in Shanxi province were investigated by general data questionnaire and Professional Identification Scale.Results The total score of professional identity of nursing students was 44.00(38.00~48.00),and item average score was 4.40(3.80~4.80).Gender,education background,reason for studying and residence were the influencing factors of professional identity of nursing students during the epidemic(R²=0.131,P<0.01).Conclusion The professional identity of nursing students is in a higher level during the epidemic.Colleges and universities should take the epidemic as an opportunity to take appropriate measures to carry out vocational education for nursing students,further improve their professional identity.
