Clinical Effect of HOLYPROTM Mesh and HOLYPROTM Mesh Plug in Early Onset Inguinal Hernia Repair

Objective To compare the effect of HOLYPROTM mesh and HOLYPROTM mesh plug in early onset inguinal hernia repair.Methods HOLYPROTM mesh group(mesh group) 99 cases,HOLYPROTM mesh plug repair group(the mesh-plug group) 79 cases.The two groups preoperative evaluation,operative time,postoperative reactions,hospital stay,postoperative complications and recurrence were compared with follow-up.Results Patients with early onset hernia,mean age,accompanying diseases,early complications,length of hospital stay of two groups were no significant difference(P>0.05),Operation time,postoperative wound swelling reaction,pain,hospitalization costs in mesh group were significantly lower than thoese in the mesh plug group(P<0.05).The average follow-up 12 months(1~16 months).There were no recurrence in both groups.Conclusion Only HualiKang sheet mesh repair,pain response is low,less postoperative wound swelling;operation time is short,less technical steps required,low cost,and it might be suitable for promotion.
