Abstract: | While bladder training appears to be a feasible modality for treating urinary incontinence in long-term care patients, many issues exist that prevent effective use of such a program. Multiple factors, including staff, patient, and environmental variables influence the outcome of treatment and research protocols and therefore must be addressed before any protocol can be effectively implemented. This article addresses and examines such issues in long-term care settings. |
