| Abstract: | Neferine (Nef) is a dibenzylisoquinoline alkaloid isolated from a Chinese medicinal herb ( Nelumbo nucifera Gaertn ).The progress is reviewed on the studies of neferine pharmacological activities in the past ten years, including antihypertensive, antiarrhythmic, antiagglutinating, antithrombotic, antioxidant, protecting against organphosphorus esters toxicity, inhibiting the proliferation of hypertrophic scar fibrohlasts and chemosensitive effects |
