| Abstract: | The prevalence of obesity in increasing worldwide, and its complications are now better recognized. As childhood obesity tracks into adulthood, the treatment and prevention of this condition is necessary early in life. This review describes the public health impact of pediatric obesity, its risk factors, and suggestions for its treatment and prevention, including behavior modifications, decrease in inactivity, increase in physical activity, and dietary changes. |
