Abstract: | Hepatitis B and hepatitis C virus (HCV) infections are major causes of liver-related morbidity and mortality in recipients
of nonliver organ transplantation. The preemptive use of nucleoside analogues has greatly improved the outcome of those hepatitis
B surface antigen-positive recipients of transplantation, and pegylated interferon should enable more HCV patients to be successfully
treated before and after transplantation. |
