A Preliminary Study on Radiological Prevention and Protection in Medicine

The quality of radiation protection is critically influenced by the availability of accurate information and its efficient management. It consists of many information components. There may be information related to the patient, to doctors （radiation oncologists, radiological physicists, technologists, etc. ）, and to equipment （diagnostic, planning, treatment, etc. ）. These different category and methods must be integrated. Rational use of radiological equipment decreases radiation exposure and gains time, whereas thoughtless use increases radiation exposure without real benefit. A comprehensive management system is essential for efficient storage and application of the enormous amounts of protection information.
