| 摘 要： | Observation of EEG in 144 epilepsy patientsbefore and after acupuncture revealed that thosewith normal EEG before acupuncture remainednormal afterward,and of those with abnormalEEG 60.2% manifested changes,mainly asasynchronism(i.e.reduction or cessation of epi-leptic discharge),showing that acupuncture haddefinite effect in treating epilepsy.Acupuncture at different points resulted indifferent EEG changes.At Shenman,Taichongand the Motor Zone of scalp acupuncture causedmarked EEG changes,while at Hegu,Zusanliand the Thoracic Zone of scalp the changes wereless pronounced.The difference of acupuncture effect withthe bell sound and verbal suggestion wassignificant,while that with pinching of the cer-vical skin was not.
