| Abstract: | Two townships in Fentxian counth,Shanghai city,were randomly selected to study effect of health education on improving nutrition status. In the first township (health education group) information and scientific knowledgy on adequate food and anemia prevention was delivered to parents and rural doctors. Methods of health education included radio broadcasting,pamphlets,lectures and blackboard education etc. In the second township(control group),no intervention was provided except cross-sectional survey. The results indicated that nutrient intake of two groups in the second and the third investigation was higher than that in the first one. Nutrient intake of education group increased much more than that of control group. According to the results above, we considered that nutrition education is a practicable approach to increase nutrient intake of children. |
