Abstract:Objective To investigate the chemical constituents from petroleum fraction of Wikstroemia indica(L.)C.A.Mey.Methods Chromatographic methods were used for the isolation and purification,including silica gel,ODS,Sephadex LH-20 or preparative HPLC.The structures of isolated compounds were identified by physicochemical properties and spectral data analysis.Results Ten compounds were obtained and elucidated as friedeline(1),daphnelantoxin B(2),daphnolone(3),oleanolic acid(4),3β-acetoxy-27-[(4-hydroxybenzoyl)oxy]olean-12-en-28-oic acid methyl ester(5),1,3,5-trimethoxybenzene(6),daphnelanotoxin A(7),(+)-1,5-diphenyl-3-hydroxy-1-pentanone(8),umbelliferone(9)and benzoic acid(10).Conclusion Compound 5 is isolated from genus Wikstroemia for the first time and compounds 1-4 are obtained from this plant for the first time.
