| Abstract: | Most carcinomas of the ovary are diagnosed as serous carcinomas, even when they do not have featured characteristics of serous neoplasms. In this review article, we describe and illustrate the 7 different types of ovarian carcinomas. We believe that it is essential to separate these tumors because it is most probable that they follow different molecular pathways and/or hormonal backgrounds. |
