食管癌术前放疗与术后标本断端残癌关系的研究：（附48例报告）

本文对1981年至1983年间施行术前放疗与外科综合治疗的48例和同期单一外科治疗的150例中、下段食管癌术后标本的断端残癌进行了研究。结果表明:术前放疗组标本断端发现2例残癌;占4.2％(2/48);单一外科治疗组发现27例残癌,占18％(27/150)。两组残癌阳性率,在统计学上有显著性差异(P<0.05)。表明术前放疗对残癌的发生有预防作用。文中对其预防断端残癌的机制作了探讨。

Preoperative Irradiation as Related to Residual Cancer at the Stumps in Esophageal Carcinoma

From 1981 to 1983 inclusive, a total of 48 patients with esophageal canCer at middle or lower third were subjected to combined treatment with preoperative radiation and surgery, and the residual cancer at the stumps of the esophagus was compared to that with surgery alone in 150 cases. The residual cancer at the stumps of the esophagus in the preoperative radiation group was 4.2 per cent as compared to 18 per cent in the nonradiation group. Statistically, there is a significant difference between two groups(P<0.05). The result showed that preoperative radiation for esophageal carcinoma can prevent the stumps of the esophagus from harboring residual cancer. The mechanisims of preventing the stumps of the esophagus from having residual cancer by preoperative radiation were also discussed.
