Abstract:	The case is described of a patient with myasthenia gravis whorequired prolonged controlled ventilation for respiratory failure.Muscular relaxation was obtained with a continuous infusionof atracurium 5 mg h¹ for 45 h. Following cessation ofthe infusion, paralysis disappeared rapidly.
